Holiday Stanzas on Mix Diskerud

Back at it on Twitter yesterday with a "tweet poem."

Back at it on Twitter yesterday with a “tweet poem.”

Much more on TYAC this week. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

So Mix Diskerud is back at it on Twitter again. This time, it was this “poem tweet.”

Ugh. If Diskerud spends more time getting out of Norway in 2015- and somehow , someway, finding a position, the US Men’s National Team will be better off.

Here’s a few stanzas the ol’ masters in creative writing guy put together to help him on his way…

MIX DISKERUD LOVES TWITTER POEM

Twas three days before Christmas,

And All over Twitter,

People were laughing at Mix Diskerud’s “Tweet Poem”,

Like Cousin Eddie emptying his shitter.

This wasn’t the first time in 2014, we’d heard Diskerud brood,

With hair like a model and a cult following who go goo goo,

We’d already dealt with this when he spurned the Crew.

Mix plays in Norway,

But isn’t a star,

Despite what the facts say,

Xolos impressed from afar.

Bob Bradley capped him in 2010,

and says the quality in MLS is better,

With MLS and Mexico looming to let you in,

why stay where you are?

Sure, his passing’s above-grade,

But who has he played?

Yet if he did come to MLS, he’d probably be a DP,

If I’m a guy like Robbie Findley, that’s a problem for me.

He sometimes seems interested in making a tackle,

An he’ll score on occasion, US fans will cackle, and

Yes you could argue his attacking acumen’s slick,

But when has he shown you he’ll track back a lick?

His best game was last year in Columbus, or in Prague vs the Czechs,

Too bad both opponents were inferior and he’s Michael’s backup at best.

Some fans and writers won’t like what it is I portend,

That’s fine, so long as you can explain

what to do with a midfielder who won’t defend.

And you’re right to say with Mix on the field,

The US seem to win,

But last we saw, they were shellacked by Ireland.

The truth is Jurgen can’t seem to find him a position,

A few more run outs and he’ll this cycle’s Sacha Kljestan,

Only louder and more brazen with no spot guaranteed,

at least Sacha plays in the Champions League.
