With the holidays in full swing, U.S. Soccer news has seemingly taken a back seat to adult beverages, burgeoning waistlines and dogs wearing antlers. Fortunately for the good folks at The Yanks Are Coming, the men on the USMNT fancy the use of Twitter. Undoubtedly, one of the biggest questions on the minds of USMNT fans is the health and whereabouts of one Charlie Davies aka “Chuck D.”
Enter Robbie Rogers, stage left.
According to Rogers’ verified Twitter account, Davies accompanied Rogers along with the Brothers Kljestan to lunch in Newport (California) as well as dinner (Indian) on December 26th. Later that evening the group went to see James Cameron’s latest offering “Avatar” — in 3D no less. Not a bad evening at all!
Another tweet today (Sunday) informed Rogers’ followers that Davies had once again ventured out somewhere in California with the group to enjoy a post-Christmas lunch. On the 24th of December, Davies tweeted a message to his Twitter account stating that he was, in fact, doing well in rehab and was able to walk. We can safely assume that Davies is doing even better than he alluded to if he was able to fly out to visit his USMNT teammates in California.
If you want to send Davies a message of support, you can contact via Twitter (@CharlieDavies9) or if you aren’t so tech-savy, shoot Davies an email at CharlieDavies9@yahoo.com (Thanks to The Shin Guardian for providing that factoid).
