We’re coming to you live from the press box at the Home Depot Center. If you’re not at the game, you can catch it on either the Fox Soccer Channel or TeleFutura. For those of us either at work or unable to be in front of a TV, we recommend checking out the Match Tracker located on the U.S. Soccer site.
As we just mentioned on Twitter, the crowd is riddled with blue and white jerseys (shocker, right?). While the Hondurans dominate in terms of sheer numbers, the fans in the USMNT supporter section is fully decked out in their favorite gear. We here at The Yanks Are Coming don’t condone fighting, but we did see some giant dudes wearing U.S. gear from head to toe.
On a side note, we’ve just been informed that Bruce Arena has been elected to the National Soccer Hall of Fame after garnering 78 percent of the ballots. Among Arena’s many accolades are his work as the former head coach of the USMNT for eight years and current stint as the head coach of the L.A. Galaxy. From all of us at The Yanks Are Coming, we offer our congratulations to Bruce.
Grab a drink. Hang with the Yanks. More updates on the way.
